Breaks down lactose and eases post-meal bloating
Lactobacillus acidophilus often colonizes the small intestine after passing gastric acid. It commonly secretes lactase that hydrolyzes lactose into glucose and galactose, reducing bloating, abdominal pain, and gas after milk or cheese. Lactose-digestion discomfort and upper-gut comfort are the most often matched felt effects; several continuous weeks make post-meal abdominal ease easier to notice.
