Why supplement?
Malate
Sodium malate is bound to malic acid; dissolution is usually better than the oxide. Malate takes part in the citric acid cycle, but supplement doses are far too small to act as an energy drug. The use is sodium.
Body fluid and nerve impulse
Sodium malate is a source of sodium. Action potentials depend on sodium influx. Most diets already supply enough; extra sodium is mainly for heavy sweating, not everyday wellness.
How to take it
Sodium and salt are not the same unit; 1 g of sodium is about 2.5 g of table salt.
How oftenExtra supplements are not advised without a need; prefer a balanced diet first.
What to watch
Cautions
Most adults already get enough sodium from food; people with high blood pressure, heart, or kidney disease should limit sodium.
Electrolyte replacement after heavy sweating or diarrhea should follow the situation and professional advice.
· Thirst
· Edema (excessive intake)
· Severe sodium imbalance can cause neurologic and consciousness changes.
Long-term dependenceNot addictive, but a high-salt diet can become a taste habit and raise health risks.
