Reishi Mycelium

Reishi Mycelium

Reishi mycelium is the filamentous stage before a cap forms. Industry often grows it on grain. Polysaccharide share is often higher and triterpenes usually lower than in fruiting body. The plant part is mycelium; fruiting-body trials cannot be moved over directly.

Mycelium-dominant polysaccharides

Mycelial wall polysaccharides can test at a high β-glucan percentage in solid culture, but grain starch dilutes true fungal mass. Everyday use is often a powder taken for weeks as immune-related nutrition. Labels should say mycelium and substrate. Fruiting-body triterpene extract specs of the same fungus cannot be copied onto this form.

Substrate starch and fungal mass

Most reishi randomized trials use fruiting body or a defined triterpene extract. If mycelium is not standardized for ganoderic acids, read this product’s glucan or ergosterol. This is the mycelial stage of the same fungus, so the plant part must be stated; a pack photo alone is not enough to identify the part.

With foodTake with or after meals; powder can be mixed into warm food.
Best timeMorning or midday

After continued use, reassess by how you feel and whether you still need it.

General wellnessTypical daily intake: mycelium powder 1–3 g.
Specific needsCommon adult upper limit about 6 g; triterpene profile differs from fruiting body—do not copy those trial doses.

How oftenUsually fine to use daily; adjust to personal need.

Cautions

Ask a doctor first for autoimmune disease, anticoagulants, or pregnancy. Check substrate residues if you have grain allergy. Do not apply fruiting-body doses to mycelium products.

Common side effects

· Some people may notice mild digestive or other discomfort.

Rare but important

· If discomfort persists or you worry about drug interactions, seek professional advice.

Long-term dependenceNo typical addiction evidence; do not exceed labeled amounts on your own long term.
