Why supplement?
Malate
Magnesium malate is bound to malic acid; dissolution is usually better than the oxide. Malate takes part in the citric acid cycle, but supplement doses are far too small to act as an energy drug. The use is magnesium.
ATP and neuromuscular function
Magnesium malate is a source of magnesium. Magnesium stabilizes ATP phosphate groups and helps muscles relax. This salt supplies elemental magnesium; oxide and organic salts differ sharply in absorption and laxative effect.
How to take it

Long-term dependenceNot addictive; effects on fatigue are not established, so do not keep raising the dose.
