Why supplement?
Hydroxocobalamin
Hydroxocobalamin is a B12 precursor and a common injectable form; the body reactivates it. Oral supplements still depend on intrinsic factor. The uses are B12 stores and hematopoietic and nerve nutrition.
Myelin and blood formation
Hydroxocobalamin is a source of Vitamin B12. B12 maintains nerves and normal blood formation. This form can be taken by mouth when intrinsic factor is intact; vegan diets have almost no food source.
How to take it
Check the amount and unit of the active ingredient per serving first.

Cautions
Different forms cannot be swapped by name alone. Dose by elemental amount or vitamin equivalents, not by salt weight.
Vegans, people after gastrointestinal surgery, or those using metformin/acid-suppressing drugs should consider checking B12 status.
Numbness in the hands or feet, weakness, or tongue inflammation should be checked by a doctor, not only self-supplemented.
· Usually well tolerated by mouth
· Allergic reactions after injection are rare.
Long-term dependenceDoes not cause addiction or typical tolerance.
