High viscosity and pre-meal satiety
Konjac glucomannan absorbs many times its weight in water, forming a thick gel in the stomach, slowing emptying and raising satiety. Weight-related trials often watch pre-meal fullness, then weight and waist over weeks. The gel occupies space in the stomach, so satiety comes from physical viscosity rather than rapid fermentation.
Post-meal glucose via viscosity
The gel slows carbohydrate and chyme entry into the small intestine; some trials see a flatter post-meal glucose curve. Viscosity acts in the stomach and proximal small intestine. Waist, post-meal drowsiness, and whether satiety lasts longer are judged over several weeks. That is delayed absorption, not a hormone-like glucose-lowering drug.

Cautions
Never swallow dry; take each dose with at least 250 mL of water and remain upright afterwards. Do not use with esophageal stricture, swallowing difficulty, or a history of obstruction. Separate from oral medicines. Ask a doctor first if you take medicines or have a chronic illness.
