Acetate

Copper acetate is an acetate salt with good solubility, used in some mineral lozenges or liquids. It supplies copper ions; acetate is not the active.

Iron transport and collagen cross-links

Copper acetate is a source of copper. Ceruloplasmin helps move iron, and lysyl oxidase cross-links collagen. This salt supplies trace copper; long-term high zinc is the usual way to induce copper shortage.
