Primary

Modulates IgE and reduces skin allergy

Clinical observations include skin allergy and immunoglobulin E-related markers, suiting an allergic constitution prone to red rash and scratching. The mechanism is turning down an excessive antibody response so gut antigens less often trigger the skin. If skin rash rises and falls with gut antigen exposure, the immunoglobulin E axis more often moves with it.

Primary

Strengthens the colonic mucosal line of defense

It also occupies the colonic mucus layer, reducing excessive antigen exposure to immune cells. People with a sensitive digestive mucosa whose skin itches after particular foods are on the gut-skin axis; rash often rises and falls with gut exposure. Once the gut-skin axis is steadied, the frequency of itching as soon as a particular food is eaten has more chance to fall.
