Why supplement?
Insoluble cellulose bulking
Bamboo cellulose is barely fermented in the colon; it mainly raises fecal bulk and baked-good volume. It is used when the aim is more labeled fiber and less hard stool. Watch transit and stool form over several days. The raw material is culm cellulose with a dry, powdery mouthfeel.
Mostly a food-texture use
Many products use bamboo fiber as an anti-caking or mouthfeel filler, often below what bran trials use for stool bulking. As a supplement, check whether it is actually there to raise fecal bulk. The action is insoluble bulking, and stool softness and straining are what to judge.
How to take it
After continued use, reassess by how you feel and whether you still need it.
