Adenosylcobalamin

Adenosylcobalamin is the coenzyme form for the mitochondrial methylmalonyl-CoA path. The use is energy metabolism; evidence is not fully interchangeable with methylcobalamin.

Myelin and blood formation

Adenosylcobalamin is a source of Vitamin B12. B12 maintains nerves and normal blood formation. This form can be taken by mouth when intrinsic factor is intact; vegan diets have almost no food source.
